Robert James Desjardins, Jr.
New Haven,West Virginia

Robert (Bob) J. Desjardins, Jr., age 46 of New Haven, WV, on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Beloved son of Robert and Rita Desjardins of Mechanicsville, VA; loving brother of Lisa (Bill) Williams of Mechanicsville, and Deb (Mike) Gunzenhauser of Pittsburgh, PA; adored uncle of Josh and Adam; cherished partner of Nikki Stanley of New Haven.

Bob loved his family, friends, Maine, and the New England Patriots, not necessarily in that order. Full of life, he was often the center of attention at social gatherings, making it more fun and interesting due to his sense of humor and his desire for all to have a good time. Born in Scarborough, ME, Bob grew up in Pittsfield, graduating from Maine Central Institute. A love of music led him to studies at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. He played drums and guitar, eventually forming a band with dear friends in Maine, with whom he loved playing. Bob graduated from the University of Maine in 2000 with a degree in electrical engineering. His career as an engineer took him all over the country, and eventually to West Virginia where he settled several years ago. He enjoyed his life there, embracing all the area had to offer, especially playing golf, boating on the nearby river, and riding his buggy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Bob’s life will take place in New Haven, WV, on Saturday, April 7, with visiting hours at 2pm and service at 3pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 174 Layne Street, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Maine Central Institute, Office of Institutional Advancement, 295 Main Street, Pittsfield, ME.
