   Leland Clyde Bumgarner, 92, of New Haven, West Virginia passed away on May 26, 2017. He was born on September 8, 1924 in Richwood, Ohio son of the late John and Oma Bumgarner.
   Leland was a United States Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 140. He was also a 1942 graduate of Wahama, a charter member of the local Lion's Club and a co-founder of the Four Corners 4-H Club. He retired from Central Operating Co. (Philip Sporn) after 35 years of service where he was a maintenance supervisor and welding instructor.
   He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence Wolfe Bumgarner; children, Virginia (Roger) Barrett of New Haven, Leland C. Jr. (Debbie) Bumgarner of New Haven, Gary (Marsha) Bumgarner of Point Pleasant and John (Pam) Bumgarner of New Haven; grandchildren, Shannon (Bonnie) Barrett, Shelly Barrett, Troy (Angel) Bumgarner, Lori (Billy) Zuspan, Landon (Stacy) Bumgarner, Brandon (Monica) Bumgarner, Beth Slinde & Nate Reynolds; and Chelsea (Ryan) Roush; great grandchildren, Jonathan Barrett, Taylor Wilson, Justin Durham, Olivia Todd, Brett Bumgarner, Noah Bumgarner, Emily Bumgarner, Bryce Zuspan, Christina Stewart, Braxton Bumgarner, Owen Bumgarner, Hunter Bumgarner, Draeson Roush and Krinson Roush; great great grandson, Cooper Stewart; step grandchildren, Jessica Davis, Chucky and Willy Landers; step great grandchildren, William, Wyatt and Faith Zuspan, Kelsey and Chasity Halfhill, Stetson, Bailey, Nixey, Kabella, Scout, Kamrie, Elijah and PyPer; step great great grandchildren, Hampton, Jesse, Brantley and Harley; brother, Robert Bumgarner of Sydney, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Lois) Wolfe, Maxine (Robert) Holliday, Allah (Doug) Lambert, Mary (Robert) Edwards, Carol Sayre, Barbara Rhinehart and Joanne Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Dallas Bumgarner; brothers-in-law, Arthur and Paul Wolfe; and sisters-in-law, Naomi and Ruth Bumgarner.
   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1:00pm with Pastors John Bumgarner and Billy Zuspan officiating at the Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery where military honors will be presented by the American Legion and the V.F.W. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
