   Virgil Owen Hartley, 70, of Rutland, Ohio, passed away on April 8, 2022.  He was born on August 19, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Newton Harrison Hartley and Martha Johnson Hartley.
   Mr. Hartley was a United States Army Veteran.  He was a member of the Harrisonville Masonic Lodge #411.  He was also a coal miner at Meigs Mine #2 and a member of the Laborer's Local #543.
   He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet Hartley; his children, Virgil Hartley and Stephanie Hartley; grandchildren, Ryleigh and Kamryn Hartley; brothers and sisters, Loretta Conkle, Harold Hartley, Janet and Jerry Wagner and Carolyn McClelland; and several nieces and nephews.
   A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 12:00pm with military honors presented by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9926.  Visiting hours for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.
