Wanda "Sue" Mora

   Wanda “Sue” Mora, 72, of Racine, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born July 19, 1948, in West Columbia, West Virginia, to the late Harvey E. and Goldie F. (Marr) VanMatre.  Sue was a 1966 graduate of Wahama High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader for the White Falcons.  She then went on to The Huntington School of Beauty Culture, where she acquired here cosmetology license.
   She was a former member of Middleport Eastern Star where she served as past Worthy Matron and was a member of the Pomeroy Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
   She is survived by her husband, George Mora, at home; daughter, Bethany (David) Gaul, of Amanda, Ohio; son, Brandon Floyd, of Reedsville, Ohio; daughter, Heather Mora, (Massilion, Ohio); son, Andrew Mora, of Toledo, Ohio; brother, Ray VanMatre, of Middleport, Ohio; sister, Mary (Fred) Chapman, of Belpre, Ohio; sister-in-law, Betty VanMatre, of Middleport, Ohio; sister-in-law, Jackie (Steve) Frost, of Chester, Ohio; brother-in-law, Richard (Denise) Mora, of Pomeroy, Ohio; sister-in-law, Janet Eblin, of Athens, Ohio; sister-in-law, Judy (Larry) Bunger, of Shade, Ohio.    
   Grandchildren – Meredith Rae Gaul, of Gahanna, Ohio; Christian Eldon Gaul, of Amanda, Ohio; Bailee Nicole (Tanner) Thorla, of Racine, Ohio; Jadyn Lee Floyd, of Syracuse, Ohio; Madison Rae Floyd, of Syracuse, Ohio; Reise Breanna Cozart, of Massilion, Ohio, Cameron Mora, of Columbus, Ohio; Amani Mora, of Casper, Wyoming.
   Great-grandchildren – Holden Joseph Thorla, of Racine, Ohio.
Nieces and nephews – Robin Winans, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia; Ken (Bridget) VanMatre, of Langsville, Ohio; Kristen (Steven) Ramsdale, of Pickerington, Ohio; Clark (Kristen) VanMatre, of Langsville, Ohio.
   Great-nieces and nephews – Logan and Makenna Winans, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia; Owen and Carson Ramsdale, of Pickerington, Ohio; Brayden Stanley, of Langsville, Ohio; Brier and Bennett VanMatre, of Langsville, Ohio; Kenna VanMatre, of Racine, Ohio; Rhanda Cross, of Racine, Ohio.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey William “Sam” VanMatre, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathryn and Woodrow Mora.
   The family would like to thank her special friend, Kay Holter, for helping with her care during her illness.

   Friends may call from 6 – 8 pm, Monday, December 21, 2020, at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 11am, with Justin Roush officiating,  Burial to follow at Graham Cemetery, New Haven, West Virginia.
